Products Description of SANDALORE CAS#65113-99-7
Sandalore is a synthetic sandalwood aroma compound that features a scent highly similar to natural sandalwood, which makes it extensively applied in perfumes, emollients, and skin cleansing formulations. Along with its related compound brahmanol, Sandalore has been confirmed to act as an agonist of the cutaneous olfactory receptor OR2AT4, and can trigger significant calcium (Ca²⁺) signaling in cultured human keratinocytes. Long-term contact of keratinocytes with Sandalore accelerates cell proliferation and migration, and also promotes the regeneration of keratinocyte monolayers in in-vitro wound scratch models, suggesting improved epidermal "wound healing" in human skin organ cultures. Natural sandalwood oil and other synthetic sandalwood fragrances, however, show no such effects.
