Product Application of Dioctyl Sulfosuccinate Sodium Salt CAS#577-11-7
Docusate sodium is used in the treatment of constipation as a laxative and stool softener, and is also applied in the manufacture of electrospun fibers to realize customized and controlled release of antibiotic drugs. In the textile industry, it acts as a high-performance emulsifier, detergent, penetrant, thickener, and wetting agent with outstanding permeability and wettability.
Also referred to as Aerosol OT, it functions as a lubricant and is widely used as a surfactant, emulsifier, and wetting agent in the printing and dyeing and cosmetics sectors. It can be combined with CAPSO to construct microemulsion electrophoresis systems for the detection of natural and synthetic estrogens. Additionally, it is used to prepare reversed-phase microparticles in hydrocarbon solvents and is suitable for dissolving most membrane proteins. It is also employed as a surfactant, penetrant, emulsifier, and leveling agent in printing and dyeing applications, as well as an emulsion component in photosensitive materials.
