Quinhydrone is a dark green crystalline solid with the molecular formula C₁₂H₁₀O₄, forming a 1:1 complex of hydroquinone and benzoquinone. It is mainly applied as a redox indicator for pH electrodes, electrochemical research and organic synthesis.
