Sucralose finds extensive application in beverages, tabletop sweeteners, ice cream, baked goods, chewing gum, coffee, dairy products, desserts, fruit juices, gelatin products, puddings, sweet sauces, syrups, and soy sauce, as well as in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. In countries including the United States and Canada, it has replaced sucrose and other sweeteners in a wide range of food products.
It is non-cariogenic, unlike sucrose, fructose and maltose which may trigger related health issues. Meanwhile, it delivers superior cost efficiency compared with nutritive sweeteners of lower sweetness potency.
