Product Details
Guar gum is a naturally‑sourced plant gum extracted from carob tree pods or guar beans. The carob tree, a perennial shrub, mainly grows along Mediterranean coastal areas. By contrast, guar beans are annual leguminous crops largely planted in arid territories including India, Pakistan and Texas of the United States, benefiting from substantial diurnal temperature differences and sufficient precipitation. At present, the guar gum supplied on Chemicalbook is mostly sourced from guar beans.
